From September to May, our AWANA Club meets every Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. AWANA is a national program with a mission to “reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve him.” AWANA is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (from 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV).
Adult leaders guide children through age-appropriate Bible-based learning materials. Kids learn that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through His Son, Jesus Christ. They also learn how to apply the truths of the Bible to their daily lives. AWANA offers three different age-based classes:
Cubbies – Potty-trained toddlers who will start kindergarten in a year or two
Sparks – Children in kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade
Truth & Training (T&T) – Children 3rd grade through 6th grade
