Jean received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University in 1983. She worked for 10 years at Western Electric as a Product Engineer and at Bell Laboratories as a System Engineer before taking on the full time responsibility for the care of her two children. She worked part time for 4 years in desktop publishing/computer troubleshooter and 7 years as sound operator at Castleview before applying for and accepting the call for the position of Director of Technology and Communications in May of 2004. Her technical background, desire to work with people as well as the experience coordinating projects and the ages of her children were all factors in her decision to return to a full time working position.
