On the lighter side:

  • I ate a taco with cooked cow brain
  • I ate a taco with cooked cow eye balls
  • I ate a taco with cooked cow cheek

On the serious side:

The drama was very impressive and impactful!  The missions trip to Irapuato was definitely a success.

The VBS, downtown evangelism, and baseball clinics all had many attendees.  The gospel was heard in each of these.

The Irapuato Bible Church made about 20 contacts which they will follow up on for people interested in Jesus and the church.

There are not words to describe the love and hospitality shown to us by the church in Mexico.  It is safe to say that we were encouraged by each others´faith.

On youth night, I shared from Psalm 31:2 which says, ¨Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue, be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.¨

I have never been surrounded by so much love and hospitalitly in all my life.  I immediatly felt at home as soon as I arrived and by that I mean that I could feel God´s presence working within me and the people of Irapuato.  It was as if I found peace within my heart.

Honestly, I did not know what to expect on this trip.  I´ve been to Mexico before, but the nature of this trip was different.  In 1998 our team laid the foundation for a church in Puebla, and now in 2007 our team was able to reach out to unbelievers of all ages through many aveneus.  You could say that our team here laid the foundation for spiritual growth.  Our prayers and with the help of the members of Iglesia Biblica de Irapuato, our Father in heaven will reep a harvest of souls from the seeds that we planted.

I was walking through the streets handing out flyers to our baseball clinic, but I never felt afraid or worried about my safety.  I know that the Holy Spirit was with me so what did I have to fear.  Over and over I continued to pray that our ministry would be blessed with people who would listen to God´s call.  Many times Satan tried to disrupt our plans, but his attempts were feeble and came up short.  The Lord blessed us with all that we could ask - beautiful weather, encouraging believers, and servant´s heart and attitude that empowered us to carry out our task at hand.
