Four Steps to Peace With God

If you want to know God and have peace with Him, read the following four points along with the Scripture passages.

1 God loves you, and wants you to have a meaningful life on earth and eternal life in heaven.

The Bible says: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

And, Jesus said: "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" (John 10:10).
2 All have sinned, and are cut off from God.

The Bible says: "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

And: "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
3 Jesus is the only way we can be reconciled to God.

The Bible says: "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

And, Jesus said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me" (John 14:6).
4 We must believe in Jesus and receive Him as our savior.

The Bible says, "as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name" (John 1:12).

And, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20).

You can receive Jesus right now by faith, through prayer. If you accept what the Scripture says, it is simply a matter of saying "yes" in your heart to God.

Yes, I believe you created me and want me to have a meaningful life on earth and eternal life in heaven. Yes, I believe I am a sinner, cut off from you. Yes, I believe that Jesus is the only way to be reconciled to God. Yes, I believe in Him and receive Him as my savior. Yes, I invite Him into my life to be the God of my life.

If this expresses the desire of your heart, just say these words to the Lord, out loud or silently in your heart. Then, tell someone - a friend, a loved one, a family member or call and talk to one of the pastors at Castleview at (317) 842-4220. Begin to read the Bible and pray daily, and get involved in a church that teaches the Bible.
